What are the characteristics that we have to consider when we integrate the ICT to the teaching English?

There are many things that we have to consider in teaching English mainly when we integrate the ICT .The incorporation of ICT in the classroom instruction can provide more efficient and effective and it is assumed that because this will promote better learning, and also because the learning is mediated by tools physical or technical.

The ICT gives to Students interact with real or genuine solve relevant problems, learning make decisions in situations that pose the challenge of uncertainty or conflict of values, acquire the knowledge and skills specific to community social or professional practice that belongs or will be integrated to their education. The characteristics that the ICT has are: the collaborative learning, the cognitive tasks, the context, the interactivity among students the connectivity with the technology, in order words; students have practice..

Why is useful the instructional design in English Teaching?

The ICT are important because it makes the class more interesting, attractive y very dynamic. Also, using this type of material in English language teaching we can create an environment very meaningful for our students and their can develop their complex abilities. In addition, we can find different kind of material to prepare a variety of activities. And in this way we can provide them a different kind of learning, more social, attractive and funny because it dealing with the different kinds of technology that are used in the real world.

PORTFOLIO

A portfolio is a collection of students work. it shows the student progress and achivements on their own learning in one o more subjects, also the students can reflect on it. There are differents types of portfolios with different porpuses.


Some of them are used to evaluate students or to show the learning process, also the skills and the strategies that student applied during the elaboration of it.
In addition, a portfolio is also usefull for teachers because they use it to show evidences about the organization on teahing and learning in classroom.
